Traseul propus : Bucuresti – Salonic – Litochoro – Muntele Olimp (Vf Mytikas) – Meteora – Delphi – Thermopilae – Atena –Glyfada – Voula –Vouliagmeni – Capul Sounion – Sapareva Banya ( Bulgaria, Muntii Rila) – Bucuresti

Greek adventure map

En: Last year we started a custom we’re trying to turn into a tradition, that of travelling once a year, during summer time, in one of the neighboring countries and climbing one of the highest peaks that can be reached without special climbing equipment.

The tradition started with a legendary trip to our Bulgarian neighbors where climbed Musala Peak in the Rila mountains.

For this year’s challenge we’ve gathered a group of 17 friends and we’re going a bit further, to Greece where we’ll visit Zeus’s home, mount Olympus with its highest peaks: Mytikas and Skolio.

The adventure will not stop there but continue further on as we’ll visit some iconic places among which: The suspended churches of Meteora, Delphi, Thermopilae, Athens, Cape Sounion, Vouliagmeni.

As usual, I’ll try to post at least a photo a day and I’ll have a lot of stories to write after returning home.
